INTERNATIONALLY MANDATED PROGRAMS

Achievement Week

Originally designed to promote the study of Negro life and history. Today, Achievement Week is used to seek out and give due recognition to those individuals at the local and national levels who have made a noteworthy contribution toward improving the quality of life for black Americans (see also National High School Essay Contest).

Scholarship

The Scholarship Program is intended to promote academic excellence among the undergraduate members. Graduate Chapters are expected to provide financial assistance to student members and non-members. A portion of the fraternity’s national budget is allocated to scholarships through the local Fall and Spring High School Essay Contest.

Social Action

Chapter actively engages in purposeful initiatives that uplift and empower the communities we serve. Through service-driven leadership and a deep commitment to the Fraternity’s Four Cardinal Principles, we strive to be agents of positive change. Whether through hands-on volunteerism, collaborative partnerships, or strategic advocacy, chapters remain rooted in service, always seeking new and effective ways to strengthen the communities we call home. Together, we carry forward the legacy of Omega, not just in word, but in meaningful, sustained action.

College Endowment Fund

Each year the fraternity gives at least $50,000 to historically black college and universities in furtherance of Omega’s commitment to provide philanthropic support.

Health Initiatives

Chapters facilitate, participate and coordinate activities that promote good health practices. Some of the programs are the Charles Drew Blood Drive and partnership with the American Diabetes Association.

NAACP

Every district and chapter of the fraternity is required to maintain a Life Membership at Large in the NAACP. All members of the fraternity are encouraged to join the NAACP.

Memorial Service

Talent Hunt Program

Provides exposure, encouragement and financial assistance to talented young people participating in the performing arts. Winners are awarded recognition and may be given college scholarships.
March 12th of each year chapters conduct an appropriate service to recall the memory of those members who have entered into Omega Chapter.

Voter Registration, Education & Mobilization
